The America Invents Act and its Effects on US Patent Law

After years of criticism regarding the state of U.S. patent law, the Senate passed the America Invents Act, which is being called the most sweeping patent reform in half a century. But many IP experts are taking a wait-and-see approach.

Great use of the English language. Who came up with such a silly name for an act?
Would that be (senarter) Leahy?
Why not just call it the American Invention Act or better yet the United States Invention Act?
