Staples appoints Michael T. Williams as its new general counsel

There is a new GC at the helm at office giant Staples – purchasers of Swingline Staplers and TPS Report forms are rejoicing:

Office supply giant Staples Inc. announced Wednesday that Michael T. Williams has been appointed senior vice president, general counsel, and secretary, effective Nov. 7. Williams will have global management responsibility for the company’s legal team, Framingham-based Staples said in a press release.
