Like Your Acting Job? RealNetworks Uploads Their GC to Acting CEO

Another GC steps up to the top executive slot (albeit in an acting capacity):

Well, sure hope he’s ready for his acting job. Digital media giant RealNetworks, Inc. has uploaded its general counsel to the post of acting chief executive officer. The Seattle-based maker of software that streams and downloads audio, video, and other multimedia content announced on Tuesday that it’s named former general counsel Robert Kimball as acting CEO. He replaces company founder Rob Glaser, who stepped down from the post after 16 years. Glaser remains chairman of the board of directors of RealNetworks.
