In-House Lawyers Gaining the Upper Hand, Says ACC

Power to the law departments!

A new survey out Wednesday from the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) offers ample proof of how things have changed over five years: budgets for in-house legal departments are up, external spending on litigation is down, and so on and so forth. Last year the industry group surveyed in-house lawyers from 4,161 companies, mostly in the U.S., and compared their responses with those given in a 2006 census.
