by Editors on July 3, 2009

The San Diego ACC chapter has scheduled a brown bag program titled Trademark and Trade Name Clearance: Cost Saving Measures in Trademark Registration for Thursday, July 9, at Fish & Richardson, 12390 El Camino Real in San Diego.

Speakers Lisa Martens of Fish & Richardson and Michael Cantania of Callaway Golf will address the necessary steps, due diligence, and cost saving tips associated with the clearance process of trademark registration in a panel discussion format. They will explore the respective roles of corporate counsel and marketing to successfully provide “pre-clearance” of trademarks and trade names using free or cost-effective resources, potentially reducing the expense of the trademark registration process.
