Survey Finds That Firms Improve Diversity Efforts in Response to GC Pressure

    Under increasing pressure from GCs to diversify their personnel, law firms may find encouragement from a new survey showing they are making progress. Altman Weil’s 2008 Diversity Flash Survey shows that 58 percent of participating law firms have a designated diversity manager or director. An area of concern, according to Virginia G. Essandoh, an Altman Weil senior consultant, is that those diversity directors are increasingly not full time but often are practicing attorneys with billable-hour requirements.  Read the full article at Law.com.
