In his sixth year at Jones Day, Todd King spent a lot of time negotiating an acquisition for an important client, Flowers Industries Inc., which sold its Mrs. Smith’s Bakeries frozen dessert business to The Schwan’s Food Co. The deal closed in April 2003. In June, King received a call from Schwan general counsel Brian Sattler. “He said, ‘We enjoyed fighting with you and would you like to come work for us,’” said King, who has been working for Schwan since then.
