The Right of Publicity - Get up to Speed

    Thanks to PLI, you can learn about an area of law that stands at the intersection of intellectual property, tort, licensing and constitutional law.  The "right of publicity", or the right of a person to control the commercial exploitation of his or her name, image, likeness and other identifying characteristics, is often passed over in law schools in favor of other more glamorous areas of law (e.g. patents, copyrights, trademarks, etc.).  However, right of publicity issues come up frequently in the corporate world, from marketing and advertising to sponsorships and promotions.  Corporate counsel can learn more today by reading Edward H.
