Robert Half Legal found out the answer through a recent survey of 200 attorneys at the nation’s largest law firms and corporations. The attorneys found the following alternative careers appealing:
| "Mediation or alternative dispute resolution counselor | 54% | |
| Law school professor or lecturer | 49% | |
| Nonprofit or public interest legal services provider | 41% | |
| Expert witness | 20% | |
| Patent expert | 11% | |
| Researcher | 11% | |
| Politician (specifically, district attorney or attorney general) | 9%" |
It’s obvious that InhouseBlog’s readership was left out of the survey pool (yet again). Our informal survey conducted today by telephone resulted in the following Top 3 post-law careers of choice: (1) Maui tour guide (2) Mega Millions lottery winner and (3) Donald Trump’s next apprentice.
